The Program

Phase 1:
Phases 1-3 will consist of 3 – 28-day stages.

Stage 1 (4 weeks):

  • Required church attendance (Sunday Morning & Evening, Wed. Eve.)

  • No cell phones

  • Monitored landline calls only 

  • Living Free & SOZO Group Meetings (Min. 2 per week)

  • Seneca Counseling (Rainelle Medical Center)

  • Random Drug Screens

  • No job required for the first 2 weeks

  • No rent due during the first month

  • No visitation

  • No driving

  • Interviews for Jobs/Signing up at Workforce WV

  • MAT (Vivatrol - Monthly shot) if needed

  • 1-paragraph paper due the 1st week: What does Recovery look like for me? Group Discussion

  • Connecting with a Recovery Coach/Sponsor/Mentor. 

  • DRC/Drug Court/Legal IssuesDr./DDS. Appointments, etc.

  • Must always be with a house member.

  • Set Goals

  • Community Service 

  • Life Skills Training – see manual

Stage 2:

  • Required church attendance

  • Living Free & SOZO Group Meetings (Min. 2 per week) 

  • Seneca Counseling (Rainelle Medical Center)

  • No phone

  • Supervised visitation (neutral/approved location)

  • Minimum 20hr/week job and/or schooling/training & Community Service

  • Maximum 30hr/week?

  • 1-page paper: What steps am I taking to see my Recovery happen? Group Reflection

  • Random Drug Screens

  • Landline only

  • Rent 13$/day – on workdays. Sat & Sun. free (≈400$/month)

  • Work on getting a Driver’s license(fines/second chance program)

  • Life Skills Training – see manual


Stage 3:

  • Required church attendance

  • Finish 12 steps of Living Free Group Meeting (Min. 2 per week) 

  • Seneca Counseling (Rainelle Medical Center)

  • Work/Training/College (Min. 20hr/week) & Community Service

  • Random Drug Screens

  • 1-page paper: What is the biggest difference you can see in yourself since day 1 and what has caused that difference to be made? Group Discussion

  • No Cell Phone

  • supervised visitation (neutral/approved location)

  • Driving? If licensed? Hum? (Life360/Monitored)

  • Life Skills Training – see manual 

  • Certificate of Completion


Phase 2:

  • Work/College/Training (Min. 20hr/week) & Community Service

  • Random Drug Screens

  • Community Volunteering (2 hr./month)

  • Visitation 

  • Driving (if applicable)

  • 1-page paper: What is my biggest roadblock right now? & What am I going to do about it?

  • Life Skills Training – see manual

Stage 2:

  • Required church attendance

  • Living Free Group Meetings (Min. 2 per week)

  • Work/College/Training (Min. 20hr/week)

  • Random Drug Screens

  • Community Volunteering (2 hr./month)

  • Visitation 

  • Driving (if applicable)

  • 1-page paper: If you were King for a day, what would you change? 

  • Life Skills Training – see manual

Stage 3:

  • Required church attendance

  • Work/College/Training (Min. 20hr/week)

  • Maintain Sobriety

  • Random Drug Screens

  • Community Volunteering (2 hr./month)

  • Visitation

  • Evaluate Personal Daily Routines

  • 1-page paper: In what ways can I make a change in my community?

Phase 3:

  • CCAR Training (if available)

  • 1-page paper: How you feel about the changes made in your life? Group Discussion 

  • Life Skills Training – see manual

Stage 2:

  • Required church attendance 

  • Living Free Group Meetings (Min. 2 per week)

  • Work/College/Training (Min. 20hr/week)

  • Maintain Sobriety

  • Random Drug Screens

  • Community Volunteering 

  • Visitation 

  • Driving 

  • 1-page paper: How am I going to make a difference in the Recovery Community? 

  • Life Skills Training – see manual

Stage 3:

  • Required church attendance

  • Finalize housing/prepare for relocation

  • Make all final arrangements for leaving

  • 1-page paper: Am I making a difference in the Recovery Community or My Community? If so, How?

Completion:

  • Final Graduation Ceremony and Certificate of Completion

Weekly Life Skills Training Manual
